About Us
Pillars is a division of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce which is focused on those between 20-40 years old who live, or work, or have business interests in Lakewood.
Our mission is to make the city of Lakewood more conducive to business development by fostering a vibrant, engaged demographic of 20-40 year olds.  By collaborating with other local organizations in town, together we can build the foundation for Lakewood’s future. In providing our members with the resources needed to reach their potential, in their careers, their social lives and their civic lives, the community as a whole will be more prosperous.
Group history
The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1911 and has been serving the business community for nearly a century.  In 2007, a division was created to specifically address the segment of the population between 20-40 years old.  After a period of studying the many services and resources already available, a mission was developed and events were planned to begin in the summer of 2008.
In the short time since Pillars has been formed our membership based has steadily grown and we have hosted several events including; a golf outing, an annual wing crawl, an annual chili cook off, workshops on social networking and traditional happy hours and lunch meetings.
The future of Pillars of Lakewood is dependent and will be determined by the needs and willingness of its members to become involved.
